Port Blair, Feb 17: A truck carrying steel sheets overturned at Andaman Trunk Road near Tushnabad School this afternoon leaving the driver of the truck injured, according to the locals.
As per reports, the truck bearing registration number AN01 B 7372 was carrying loads of steel sheets, which were tied in the middle.
Sources said that when the truck was taking a turn the rope that was tied with the steel sheets snapped and weight of all steel sheets shifted towards one side, which resulted in this accident.
There were six more laborers in the truck but fortunately they escaped unharmed. A case under relevant section has been registered against the truck owner for the carelessness in the Ograbraj Police Station.
