Port Blair, Sep 09: Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC has handed over an amount of Rs. 9,300/- to the Parents of Saw Thapwie, duly collected by the National Students Union of India, Port Blair from the students of Jawahar Lal Nehru Rajakiya Mahavidyalaya.
Mr Saw Thapwie, aged 18 years a resident of Burma Dera, Mayabunder had been diagnosed as patient of Nephrotic Syndrome by the Medical specialist of GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair.
The boy is a student of 11th standard of Model Sr Secondary School, Mayabunder and belongs to a poor family of Karen community, getting treatment from GBP Hospital and waiting to be shifted to a hospital at Chennai for specialized treatment.
