Port Blair, Feb 13: A minor fire was reported from Bargat Line area of Port Blair city this evening. According to repot at around 6.00 PM a fire was seen in a tree, situated near the road, which connects Chakkargaon with Corbyn’s Cove.
On report initially a mini Fire Tender was sent to douse the fire but when the mini Fire Tender was unsuccessful a proper Fire Tender was sent by the Fire Control Room, which doused the fire in no time. As the area is thickly populated with houses in encroached and revenue land the fire triggered scare among many residents of the area.
