Port Blair, Sept 05: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), in a letter addressed to Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has brought to his notice that large number of Daily Rated Mazdoors are working in PBMC who have rendered considerably long period of service and advocated for their regular appointment.
He informed that, about 60 (sixty) posts of Work Charged Mazdoors / Sanitary Mazdoors in the Council have fallen vacant due to promotion, retirement, death etc. of the mazdoors of the PBMC and made appeal for early regularization of services of atleast 60 Daily Rated Mazdoors against these vacancies.
