Port Blair, Dec 07: With the thesis to eradicate the menace of illegal manufacture and sale of liquor from the society, the South Andaman District Police have been continuously making all possible efforts. During the relentless efforts by the team of Special Police Squad, recovered company sealed IMFL.
On 06/12/2019, on receipt of credible information regarding sale of illegal IMFL, the special police squad comprising SI M. A. Rasheed, ASI Surya Narayan & PC Santhose Kumar conducted raids at Bathubasthi area. During the raid, the team recovered 12 Nos. 750ml IMFL, 49 Nos. 180ml IMFL alongwith one four wheeler from the possession of Kanna Rajan, 36 yrs R/o Prothrapur and in the second raid, 10 Nos. 750ml IMFL from the possession of R. Ramesh, 33 yrs R/o Prothrapur. Later, both the accused alongwith the seized IMFL & vehicle were handed over to PS Pahargaon for further legal action.
The entire operation took place under Shri. Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, SDPO South Andaman under the overall direction and supervision of Shri. Manoj C., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District. The general public is requested to share information pertaining to any crime or other illegal activities to Police at 112, 03192-232100 & 03192-233077. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
