Hut Bay, Dec 08: Passenger vessel MV Campbell Bay faced alot of difficulties while berthing at Hut Bay Jetty last night because of strong winds. According to reports the vessel MV Campbell was scheduled to port at Hut Bay Jetty at around 7.00 PM but due to strong wind even after reaching Hut Bay on time, it could not berth at Jetty at 7.00 PM.
The crew of MV Campbell gave their best to berth the vessel at Jetty at scheduled time but due to heavy winds berthing ropes snapped twice.
However, with great difficulties the crew managed to safely berth the ship at Jetty at around 9.00 PM but later it was found that the berthing ropes, which snapped due to heavy wind, got entangled in the propeller.
Later in the morning at around 7.00 AM the entangled ropes were removed from the propeller, with the help of local Nicobari boys of Little Andaman. The ship later sailed for Campbell Bay safely at around 9.00 AM.
