Port Blair, Nov 22: Mr. G. Kurma Rao, Former-Up- Adhyakash, Zilla Parishad has declared to stage indefinite hunger strike from 07/12/19 against the alleged unconventional and shrinking attitude of the A & N Administration towards various.
According to Mr. G Kurma Rao, Issues which will be raised by him are De-reservation of 161.725 ha. of Forest land for regularization of allotment in 9 village at Baratang Island; De-reservation of 29.30 ha. of Forest land to notify revenue village of Katta Khari in Nilambur; Providing of proper Revenue land for Burial/cremation ground for the last rite at Baratang; Providing of land for construction of playground to the school going children of Govt. Senior Secondary School, Oralkatcha; De-reservation of Forest land of existing quarry in Baratang;
Providing of basic infrastructure for tourist at Baratang; Taking back of 85.380 ha. of Revenue land which has allotted to the Baratang Forest Division survey bearing No. 1 Nilambur; Dilapidated condition of Govt. Living quarters including School buildings in Baratang; Horrible condition of so called National Highway Road in Baratand; Implementation of the recommendation of Vivek Rae Committee on land matter in A & N Islands and Permission for special convoy for the common people of North & Middle Andaman as well as South Andaman during the death cases of their blood relation on humanity ground.
