Port Blair, Sept 05:The team of Swaraj Dweep Police rescued a group of 08 stranded Israeli National from Elephanta beach area.
On 03/09/2019, information was received at Police Station Swaraj Dweep from PCR that some foreign tourists were lost and stranded in the Elephanta beach during jungle trekking. Immediately, a team under the guidance of SDPO Swaraj Dweep, Shri. Prashant Choudhary, DANIPS comprising PCs Gulab Ram, Srinivas Rao, A.K. Singh along with PMF staff HC Martin George & PC Martin Topno were formed and conducted search and rescue operation at Elephanta beach area in the inclement weather condition. After tireless efforts, the team finally succeeded to trace the Israeli foreigners and rescued them safely.
The Police party alongwith Police Marine staff of Swaraj Dweep has shown exemplary courage to rescue the stranded foreign National in inclement weather condition. The entire operation took place under the leadership of Insp. Rahul, SHO PS Swaraj Dweep with the guidance of SDPO Swaraj Dweep, Shri. Prashant Choudhary, DANIPS under the overall supervision of Shri. Manoj C., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
