The Election Commission of India has launched Electoral Verification Programme (EVP) on 01.09.2019 for improvement of health of Electoral Rolls and to ensure error free and accurate Electoral Rolls. In this endeavor, the EVP has been launched in the South Andaman District along with the rest of the country.
With the launch of Electoral Verification Programme, the voters are requested to come forward and to verify the details pertaining to themselves & their family members by submitting an additional document and to submit request to rectify errors in their particulars (if any) viz. name, age, dob etc., to remove multiple entries of their names and also to link family members living together to one polling station.
In order to facilitate the voters for verification of their electoral details adequate services have been made available online through the portal https://nvsp.in and Voter Helpline App. In addition to that, voters can visit their nearest Common Service Centres (CSCs) or Voter Facilitation Centres, which have been established at AERO offices for this purpose.
For the convenience of the PWD voters and Senior Citizen Voters, they can also contact the State Contact Centre / District Contact Centre at 1950 for assistance in this regard (if required).
All voters, especially the youth are requested to join this campaign and to make it a great success.
