Car Nicobar, Aug 14: Two people, who were fishing at Chukchuka Sea Shore area or Car Nicobar Island, drowned this evening.
According to details, after school three friends Dydicus, Richardson and Obrey had gone for fishing at Chukchuka Sea Shore at around 4.00 PM. While Dydicus and Richardson were fishing near shore, Obrey, 9 years, reportedly ventured little deep inside the sea for putting the line. Suddenly Obrey started drowning. Mr. George Appolus, 62 years, who was fishing close to the kids but he also started drowning. Meanwhile, other two kids, who were at the sea shore, got scared and ran for help towards village.
After the matter was intimated to the villagers, police was also informed about this incident. Later villagers brought out both the bodies from the sea shore area. Later both bodies were shifted to Car Nicobar’s main hospital, BJR Hospital.
