On the auspicious occasion of ‘Raksha Bandhan’, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the residents of A&N Islands.
Raksha Bandhan, a symbol of love and affection between brothers and sisters, also portrays the high place accorded to women in our traditions. It inspires us to commit ourselves towards the honour, empowerment and progress of the women in the society.
On this joyous occasion, I wish that this holy festival brings happiness and prosperity in the lives of all Islanders.
