Port Blair, June 20: The Pradhan of Chouldari Panchayat has expressed his deep concern over the alleged delay in constructing the new building of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) at Chouldari.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, Mr. Mohan Halder the Pradhan of Chouldari Panchayat today said that the JNV Chouldari already has provisions of admission for 80 students but due to lack of space only 40 students are admitted now.
He expressed his concerns over the fact that from next year IX standard classes will begin, in which there will also be direct admission and there won’t be sufficient space for students. Hence he along with some deeply worried parents, recently met senior officers of APWD and requested them to speed up the paper works for the said construction works.
While talking to Andaman Sheekha, Mr. Mohan Halder requested the Administration that considering the urgency of this work, this work may be handed over to ALHW so that more and more students can be accommodated in JNV Chouldari, which will ultimately benefit the local students.
