Port Blair, May 02: In another big achievement, a team of Central Crime Station (CCS) has conducted two different raids and arrested two people with more than 2 Kgs of Ganja.
According to reports the first raid was conducted near vegetable market of Garacharma yesterday, in which CCS team arrested one person and recovered 150 grams of Ganja from his possession.
In second raid the CCS team raided a location near Bengali Club and arrested one person with 2 kg and 10 grams of Ganja. These raids were conducted under the supervision of SP (CID).
Both the accused in these two cases are said to be mainlanders. This is an open secret that Ganja is being brought in large quantity from Mainland India by mainland labourers and is being sold in Andaman. This is high time the Andaman and Nicobar police must track down the kingpins of Ganja smuggling and take strict action against them.
