Port Blair, Apr 19: The day for the human rights for women was celebrated at JNRM on Tuesday, 16th of April 19. On this occasion Secretary Art and Culture Smti. Neha Bansal was the Chief Guest, Principal of JNRM Dr. Francis Xavier was also present on this occasion.
Addressing the gathering Secretary art and Culture Smti Neha Bansal recalled the prior experiences and instances in life and said that everything gives us experience and somehow the power to move on. Even now in today’s’ world the 21st century which claims to be modern, people suffer in so many ways where they get deprived of their rights. People should raise voice and specially women for their rights and rightful place in the society.
Dr. Francis Xavier Principal JNRM addressed the gathering by taking the audience back in time to the Japanese era and told the tales of those days where human rights where unheard of. He also compared the situation to present and said that even now a lot need to changed so that women feel more secure and work needed to be done on the gender equality and human rights.
