Port Blair, Mar 25: To facilitate the students of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), the Regional Centre has introduced ‘Sunday Class Requirement Register’ at Study Centres. Students can mention their academic requirements for face-to-face class on Sundays (9 AM-1PM) in the Register with details of topics/ subject code etc; In turn, the Study Centre will arrange classes and inform the students over phone/press release/SMS/e-mail. A similar Register is also kept at Regional Centre reception to record the requirements of students and it will be forwarded to concerned Study Centre in the region. Regarding the class requirements, the students of Study Centre-0201 (JNRM, Port Blair) may meet the Coordinator – Dr. Vijay Tyagi and the Assistant Coordinators: Dr. N.C. Vinod, Dr. R.G. S. Baghel, Dr. Promod Kumar and Dr. Kusum Kumari. The requirement for class can also be conveyed over phone to Study Centre-0201 – (JNRM)- staff on 03192-237078 (between 3 – 4.30 PM from Tuesday to Saturday). Similarly, the requirement can also be conveyed through email ignousc0201@gmail.com. Normally, the classes are organized on all Sundays. The students who have taken admission recently and yet to receive the Study Materials may also attend the classes. Earlier batch students can also attend the classes, along with current batch students. Regional Director said ‘The students who attend classes, scores good in exam as well as assignments’.
