Port Blair, Mar 18: The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for General Elections for the 17th Lok Sabha and the notifications to this effect have been issued on 18/03/2019. As per this, the filing of nomination will commence from 18/03/2019 and the last date for filing nominations is 25/03/2019. The nomination papers can be filed in the Office of the Returning Officer, A&N Islands Parliamentary Constituency (District Office, South Andaman), Port Blair between 11 AM and 3 PM on any day (other than public holiday) not later than 25/03/2019 (Monday).
The nominations papers will be taken up for scrutiny on 26/03/2019 (Tuesday) at 11 AM in Room No. 1, Chamber of Returning Officer (Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman), Port Blair. The last date of withdrawal is 28/03/2019 and the polling, if necessary, will be held on 11/04/2019 from 7 AM to 6 PM.
