Port Blair, Feb 24: In an event organized on 23rd February 2019 at 7:00 PM in Chakraborty Hospital the first of its kind MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Machine was inaugurated by Shefali, a school student and an old Acquaintance of Chakraborty Hospital. On this occasion Dr. Sudip Chakraborty M.D and founder of Chakraborty hospital was present with all the staffs of the hospital and Dr. Kishanu Saha, M.D (Radiology) also graced the occasion with his presence and explained the basics and safety risks of handling a MRI machine.
The event started by a motivational poem read by one of the staff and then Dr. Chakraborty taking everybody back in time narrated how his life changed by a dream of introducing MRI into the islands ten years ago. He also thanked his staffs and senior nurses for their continuous support due to which the hospital reached where it is now. Dr. Chakraborty was congratulated by everyone for achieving such a milestone.
Later Dr. Kishanu Saha with the help of a power point presentation explained the properties, working, safety risks and covering all the major topics regarding the working and functionality of the MRI device.
This machine is a big milestone in the field of Medical services in these islands as earlier for MRI’S people had to go to places like Chennai, Kolkata and other major cities and spend lots of rupees but after the introduction of this machine people will get all the benefits in these islands and will be able to save their time and money. The pricing is also kept in a range which is affordable to people and cheaper than the metro cities of INDIA.
