I extend my best wishes and heartiest greetings to the residents of Andaman and Nicobar Islands on the Historical occasion of 70th Republic Day.
On this very Day in 1950, we resolved to constitute a Republic on the principles of social justice, liberty of expression and equality of opportunities. We pay homage to the great heroes and brave martyrs of our freedom struggle, who laid down their lives for the safety and Independence of our great Nation.
Our country is the world’s finest example of a society formed of various cultures, languages, social traditions and customs. We are proud of our diversity, where citizens live with brotherhood and harmony constituting the largest democracy of the world. Let us move forward on the ideals enshrined in our Constitution and give our best to strengthen and make the nation prosperous.
On this occasion, I wish that our Emerald Islands always progress on the path of peace and prosperity.
