Port Blair, Jan 14: 48th General Body Meeting of Andaman Adim Janjati Vikas Samiti (AAJVS) was held today at Raj Niwas under the Chairmanship of Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) Lt Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency. The functioning of AAJVS and implementation of welfare measures for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVGTs) were reviewed. Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, MP, A&N Islands, Mr. Chetan Bhushan Sanghi, Chief Secretary and other officers & dignitaries from academia and Civil Society were also present at the occasion.
