Port Blair, Jan 13: The Annual General Body Meeting of the Clerical Cadre Branch of Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held at Port Blair yesterday (12.01.2019) under the Chairmanship of Smt. Suma Nair, Vice President of Branch. Mr. R.Raji, Secretary, Clerical Cadre Branch Committee presented the Report which dealt in detail about the activities of the Branch after last Annual General Body.
Addressing the General Body meeting Mr. P. Sathyapal, President of the Association called upon the Clerical Cadre employees working under the Administration to remain alert against the forces who are trying to take away the benefits now being enjoyed by the Clerical Cadre employees. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. T.S.Sreekumar, General Secretary of the Association said that despite strong plea made by the Central Govt. employees’ organizations all over the country, the demands for up-graded pay for Lower Grade Clerk and Higher Grade Clerks are not being accepted either by the Central Pay Commission or the Government. Mr. R.Rajendran, Asst. General Secretary also spoke on the occasion.
A number of resolutions were adopted in the meeting including Granting of Upgraded Grade Pay to LGCs and HGCs; NFSG to HGCs with 5 year service, a press release by T.S.Sreekumar, General Secretary, NGGOA said here today.
