Port Blair, Dec 07: Cyber Cell, CID unit of Andaman and Nicobar Police provides technical help and assistance to the Investigating Officers particularly in the investigation of cyber crimes. Cyber Cell also operates one online portal for reporting lost articles including mobile phones. This portal can be accessed at the URL http://lostreport.andaman.gov.in/ and citizens may file complaints of lost articles/documents/mobile online at this online Portal without visiting Police Station.
Cyber cell puts the lost mobile phones on surveillance and recovers these whenever these become active. Due to the sincere efforts made by the Cyber Cell team consisting of SI Abdul Sajid, PC S. Senthil Kumar and PC Kayaan Mohammed have been recovered 104 Nos. of lost mobile phones including those of tourists during this year. General public is urged to make full use of this Portal for registering complaints of lost articles/documents/ mobile.
