Port Blair, Nov 28: A minor fire was reported from the garbage, dumped near to Industrial area of Bathubasti, at around 8:20 PM today. On information Fire Service team of Garacharma Fire unit reached the spot within minutes and controlled the fire.
Eye witnesses say that this fire accident could have become major, because of presence of a transformer nearby but quick response of Fire Service averted another major accident.
