Port Blair, July 25: The Andaman and Nicobar Command today clarified that the Viper Island Yacht Marina Project will not be a threat for the security of our Islands.
Answering to a specific question, Rear Admiral, Sudhir Pillai, Chief of Staff, Andaman Nicobar Command today said that ANC is careful about ensuring safety and security of these Islands.
Giving the example of Goa he said there are so many tourists spots there, but Indian Navy secures core area. “We do have a force called “Sagar Prahary Bal” whose only job is to provide security. The project will help the economy of this place, but it is a decision which has to be taken by the Administration. We look after the security of our islands and we will secure our places as ensuring security is a part of our job,” the COS added.
