Port Blair, Oct 31: RGT Public Vidyalaya organized “Run for Unity” today to commemorate the 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai patel (The Iron Man). It was flagged off by the Principal of the school at 9 AM. More than 300 students participated in the event. Later a function was organized in the school in which the Manager of the school Mr. Joy Kumar Roy was the Chief Guest. He garlanded the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai and administered integrity pledge to the staff and students in his address he underlined the need and importance of Unity and Integrity which starts from home. Speaking on the occasion the Principal enlightened the students about the achievements made by him particularly the major role played by him in integration of India soon after independence. The students spoke on the importance of the day. They also presented patriotic songs. As said by Head Mistress RGT Public Vidyalaya.
