Port Blair, Oct 31: A&N Administration proposes to conduct a Mock Exercise on Earthquake followed by Tsunami on any day in the last week of Nov, 2018 to assess the preparedness and response mechanism of the stakeholders, Nodal Officers of line Departments/ Agencies, Task Forces QRTs and other Organizations etc.
On the day of the Mock Disaster Management Exercise all communication channels will be opened for issuing warnings and /or alerts (Mocks), Mock SMS alerts to all the Stakeholders Nodal Officers of line Departments/Agencies, Task Forces, QRTs and other Organizations and tsunami sirens will also been blown as a test siren.
General Public has requested to be abreast of this, not get panic and cooperate during the Un-alerted Mock Disaster Management Exercise. It has reiterated that the Mock Exercise will be conducted without any further notice/alert. As communicated by Mr. Govind Ram, Director (DM).
