Port Blair, July 22: The Joggers Park, which offers a true escape for Port Blairians from busy life for an evening or morning walk, now needs urgent attention of authorities.
Due to lack of maintenance the Joggers Park is losing its beauty and charm. It seems that someone is stealing the lights and even the bricks lining the foot path. The track is broken, the road near the gate is in bad shape.
Andaman Sheekha team visited the PBMC thrice to meet the Secretary PBMC or Superintending Engineer of PBMC to get a quote in this regard but none of them were available at office for a comment.
Meanwhile the BJP today also raised this issue and demanded immediate repair works in Joggers Park. “The Party is unable to understand why the places of public interests are not being given proper attention. The concerned departments can not give excuse of shortage of man power as when services of DRMs are used for household works,” Mohan added.
It definately needs attention..Port blair is the capital city and we need to do our best to keep it clean and well developed.
