Port Blair, Oct 07: Today at 10 AM Student Council election of MGG College Mayabunder was held at its Conference Hall in presence of the Election observer DFO, Wild life, Mayabunder.
In this election of student council total 26 candidates contested for various offices of President, Vice President , General Secretary , Joint secretary, treasurer and Executive members.
In this student council Election Mr. Kotesh Rao was elected as President. Kotesh Rao defeated his nearest rival Mr. Nikit Das of B.COm IIIyr by 3 votes. Mr. Subrata Samadder was elected as Vice President, he defeated his nearest rival by 1 vote, Mr. Saurab Sarkar was elected as General Secretary, who defeated his nearest rival by 3 votes and Mr. Amit Gharami was elected as Treasurer of the Council, who defeats his closest rival by 3 votes. Mr. Subinoy Biswas was elected as Joint Secretary.
The observer of the Election expressed his satisfaction over conduct of the election in a free and fair manner. Principal of the College Dr. B. Prabhuram blessed all the newly elected council members for their success in the election and he urged to them to work together for the betterment of the college as well as for the betterment of their fellow students.
