Port Blair, Oct 01: Smti Anusia Devi, Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council alongwith Smti Protima Banerjee, Sr.V.C and Mr. S. Karunakaran, Jr.V.C today visited Mohanpura area (Ward No: 04). Smti E. Rani, Ward Councillor, Engineers and other officials of the Council were also present with the Chairperson, PBMC. The Chairperson inspected the vegetable markets situated at Mohanpura which needs urgent repairs / renovation and directed the Engineers to complete all the repair works in a time bound manner so that the merchants can do their business in a peaceful manner during heavy rainy season. She also inspected the cleanliness and other sanitary condition in and around the Mohanpura area and directed the Sanitary Officer to remove the accumulated garbage in the premises of Mohanpura market and keep entire Mohanpura area spic and span always.
