I extend my heartiest greetings and warm wishes to the people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands on the auspicious occasion of Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Nation.
Mahatma Gandhi a preacher of truth and Non-violence and believer in peace and communal harmony, converted the dream of Independence of all Indians into reality. He did not believe in caste, color and creed and felt human life should be simple and self-sustainable. He is a source of inspiration for whole of India and the world and deriving strength from his preachings, we should strengthen the bond of love and brotherhood amongst the Islanders.
I wish for peace, fast prosperity and progress and all round development for the people of these Islands.
