Port Blair, Sept 26: CD Block Mayabunder celebrate month long National Nutrition Month in Mayabunder Block. During this month long celebration of Rastriya Pushan Mah various programs were conducted by the CD Block Mayabunder in every Panchayat under Mayabunder Block.
In this program all lines Department also keenly participated to make aware the women as well as others about the need of Nutritious food and its importance. Besides this, efforts were made to make aware about the Swatch Bharat Abhiyan. To make it grand success lectures and orientation program held in different Panchayat under Mayabunder Block. In this connection today a mass rally was conducted at Billyground Bazar at 4.30pm by the women Self Helf Groups of Billyground region, in this rally total 76 women were participated. The program was concluded with a meeting at Harinagar Panchyat Bhavan, on the occasion Mr. Biswanath Bain, BDO, Mayabunder was the chief Guest. He addressed the gathering and highlighted on the need and importance of “Rastriya Pushan Mah” and Swatch Bharat Mission. He urged all the Self Help group members and others present on the occasion to extend their benevolent support towards these great missions of Govt. of India so that it may get a grand success.
