Port Blair, Sept 24: Mrs. Anusia Devi councilor ward no 5, Dairy Farm has assumed office of the Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council PBMC today. An oath taking ceremony was held at the conference hall of the PBMC wherein the Deputy Commissioner South Andaman, Udit Prakash Rai, IAS administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected Chairperson.
The oath taking ceremony was also attended by most of the councillors and general public. After assuming charge while talking to media she said that she will pay special attention towards Cleanliness of Port Blair area. She also said that PBMC is planning for fly-overs in city and also has plans for proper solid waste management.
