HAVELOCK, JULY 14: The A & N State Coop. Bank in association with Mahila Vikas Kendra, Havelock organized a one day assessment-cum-capacity building programme for 25 SHGs at Shyam Nagar Panchayat Office, Havelock on 14th July 2012. The programme was presided over by Dr.Shipra Paul, Medical Officer in-charge of PHC, Havelock. The programme was attended by Mr. Ravinder Rao, MD, ANSCB, G.AnanathaKrishnan, DGM, NABARD, Ravin Paul, Ranger, Forest Dept., Manik Sikdar, Pradhan, Shyamnagar Panchayat and officers of other line departments. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Ravinder Rao has welcomed the participants and dignitaries. He has emphasised upon the formation of SHGs and described various benefits of SHG-Credit linkages. He has assured all possible financial help to SHGs from ANSCB.
Mr. G. Ananthkrishnan, DGM, NABARD in his key note address highlighted the advantages of availing concessional loans by ANSCB. He further highlighted the advantages of opening individual SB accounts with the Bank, availing KCCs, etc which will enable SHGs to venture into micro enterprises. Smti. Elizabeth, In-charge WDC, maneuvers the SHGs for proper maintenance of Books of Accounts.
During the course of the function, the new Board of Mahila Vikas Kendra took place, in which Mrs. Joshna Biswas was elected as President, Mrs.Manimala Biswas as Secretary and Mrs.Alomathi Biswas as Treasurer. The programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Smti. Apoorva Roy.
