Port Blair, Aug 16:72nd Independence day was celebrated at Gandhi Bhavan today with
feeling of nationalism, solidarity and celebration. The PCC President Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma hoisted the National flag followed by National Anthem. Remembering the sacrifices made by our great leaders for the freedom of India Shri Kuldeep urged the citizen to unite and fight against separatism, terrorism, violence and all such forces that divide and spread hatred in society. Sweets were distributed on the occasion. The celebration was attended by the members of Pradesh Congress Committee , District Congress Committee, Block Congress Committee, City Congress committee, members of all party frontal organizations and elected members of Panchayati Raj Institution & Port Blair Municipal Council and general public in large number.
