Diglipur, Aug 16: The 72nd Independence Day celebration was held in
Diglipur in a befittingly manner. The Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha, North & Middle Andaman, Mrs Kalpana Bain hoisted the flag on this occasion at Vivekananda stadium. In her Independence Day speech she highlighted the activities and achievements of various departments of administration. The salutation was participatedby NCC cadets, Police department and Scouts & Guides. Patriotic songs were presented by school children of GSSS, Diglipur and Subhashgram. Shailendra Kumar Singh, Asst. Commissioner, Diglipur, school students, General public, HODs were also present on this occasion.After this ceremony Adhyaksha distributed sweets and fruits to the patients in CHC, Diglipur.
