Port Blair, August 14: The Sports Karate do- team participated in the 14th All India Independence Cup Karate Championship 2018 held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi from 10-12 August 2018. The championship was organized by Seiko Kai Karate International, India, approved by Karate Association of India (KAI recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sport, Govt. of India Affiliated with Indian Olympic Association) in which 3200 participants from 28 different states participated in this mega event in which our Island team consisting of 24 players headed by Master M.D. Selvam won 9 Medals, Mrs. R.S. Uma Bharatthy Member State Sports Council, A & N Administration Congratulated the team & their Master for their excellent performance in the National Karate Championship.
