Port Blair, Aug 10: A case of murder vide a FIR No. 407/18 dated 02/08/2018 u/s 302 IPC has been registered at Police Station Aberdeen recently in which the dead body of the deceased woman, G Selvi was found in the bushes near water treatment plant at Ranchi Basti.
In this regard, the general public has been requested by police to pass on such information, if any related to this case, to the police on telephone nos. 03192- 232400 (PS Aberdeen), Mobile No. 9474287077 (SHO PS Aberdeen) & 100 (PCR).
“The informer who help in further investigation of this case, will be rewarded with cash of Rs. 25000/- ( Rupees Twenty Five Thousand Only) and his/ her identity will be kept secret,” a release from Police department said here today.
There are dozens of cases with Andaman and Nicobar Police which went undetected in past and now the big question is whether this case will also go undetected?
Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, the Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands also took up the issue of murder of G. Selvi with the Lt. Governor Admiral D.K. Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) recently.
Ms. G. Chandrawathi, daughter of deceased and Mr. M. Ganapathy husband of the deceased also met the Lt. Governor on 09.08.2018 demanding speedy action in this case.
