Port Blair, July 18: Indra Pal Singh, Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council alongwith the team of engineering wing visited Junglighat and Goal Ghar area on 14th July, 2018. The local residents of nearby area of Vijay Baugh briefed their grievances and the aggravation being faced by them. The delegation was also accompanied by ShriMohd. Tabraiz, Chairperson Whaqf Board. The residents informed that the existing parking area in front of the mosque is a paid parking and being charged by the Council. They requested to exempt from the parking fees as the devotees used to visit mosque and they are required to pay parking fees as and when they attend the prayer. The Chairperson after patient hearing assured to look into the matter. Further the chairperson directed the engineering wing to cover the drain with slab to avoid any mishap. The team further inspected the parking area in front of Goalgahar petrol pump and directed the engineering staffs to clear the bushes, trees and to construct an approach path at complete length.
