Port Blair, July 08: A delegation consisting of 10 members of Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) is presently visiting Sumatra to interact with the Provincial Government of Aceh and North Sumatera on the potentials of co-operation between Aceh & North Sumatera and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
According to ACCI, During the recent visit of the Prime Minister of India to Jakarta, it was discussed by the leaders of both countries to take necessary steps to enhance connectivity between A&N Islands and Provinces in Sumatera Island to promote trade, tourism and people to people contacts; facilitate B to B linkages between the Chamber of Commerce and the Indonesian Companies.
“On a request received from Dr.Shalia Shah, Consul General, Consulate General of India to Sumatra a delegation consisting of 10 members of the Chamber has reached there to visit and interact with the Provincial Government of Aceh and North Sumatera on the potentials of co-operation between Aceh & North Sumatera and Andaman & Nicobar Islands,”a release from ACCI said here today.
ACCI hopes that this visit will enable to interact and have an understanding about the business environment and get in touch with the Regional Authorities of Aceh and North Sumatera Province along with the Ambassador of India and Embassy officials.
The delegation of ACCI headed by Mr.SurendraPrahladka, Vice President, ACCI has already left for Provinces in Sumatra Islands on to-day the 7th July, 2018 and the meetings are scheduled from 12 July 2018.
