Port Blair, June 18: Kala Kendra –a Society under the Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration had organized “Heritage through the Lens”- a month long ‘Photography Exhibition-cum-Competition’ in the Art Gallery and Studio, Gandhi Park, Port Blair which was inaugurated on 11th June 2018 by Mr. D.M. Shukla, PCCF (Wild Life) cum Chief Wild Life Warden and Principal Secretary (Tribal Welfare), A&N Administration. Altogether 34 photographs of 15 contributors were displayed in the exhibition. A team of jury comprising of Mr. Denis Giles, Editor, Andaman Chronicles, Mr. E. Janakan, Professional Photographer, Mr. Devesh Joshi, Prominent Wildlife Photographer, selected best three winners of the Photographic Competition. Photographs of Mr. Subanker Halder, Ms. Nabanita Ganguly, Mr. Subhadeep Masehatak were adjudged First, Second and Third respectively. All winners and participants will be felicitated in a function to be organized shortly.
