Port Blair, Jun 18: The fourth meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan yesterday. It was attended by 23 Chief Ministers and the Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, apart from Union Ministers, who are ex-officio members and special invitees.
While speaking during this meeting, the Lt. Governor of A&N Islands, Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), thanked NITI Aayog for supporting A&N Islands across wide range of activities and providing constant support for the capacity building of the A&N Islands.Progress of several ongoing works as well as other issues related to development of the Islands were also discussed during this meeting.
