Port Blair, June 15: A seminar on ‘Organ Donation’ was organized at Likabali Auditorium on 12 Jun 18 & at Dweepika auditorium on 15 Jun 18, under the aegis of Andaman and Nicobar Command. The lecture was delivered by Col A Jairam, Senior Advisor (Medicine & Nephrology) of Command Hospital, AF Bengaluru and received an enthusiastic response as more than 200 volunteers pledged their organs for this noble cause. Vice Admiral Bimal Verma, AVSM, ADC, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman and Nicobar Command felicitated the guest speaker and exhorted the audience to come forward to pledge their organs, so that precious lives could be saved.
