Port Blair, May 20: As a welfare measure for the police personnel and their families, the Central Police Subsidiary Canteen at India Reserve Battalion (HQ), Port Mout, was inaugurated on 19/05/2018 by the Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Ms. Nuzhat Hassan, IPS, in the presence of the senior officers of A & N Police and IRBn.
The purpose of opening the canteen is to provide quality consumer goods, durables and utility items at economical rates to the police personnel (both serving and retired) and their families residing far away from the Port Blair municipal area. This was a long pending requirement of IRBn personnel which has come into reality today.
