Port Blair, April 19: “Lord Shiva” as Baba Taraknath this year also has showered his blessings on thousands of his devotees on the occasion of Baba Taraknath Puja and mela, organized by the Puja committee from 12th April to 15th April, 2018 at Baba Taraknath Mandir, Kadamtala. Many Kirtan Mandali from different parts of these Islands had set their camps at Kadamtala and sung the bhajans and kirtans all day long since the puja had started. Devotees from all over the Islands had taken darshan of Baba Taraknath (Shiva) in a peaceful manner with profound devotions. On 14th April, 2018, near about 3000 devotees had darshan and offered water to Lord Shiva, after travelling from long distances. Daily Prasad were also distributed as Annadanam during lunch and dinner. Law and order was very well maintained by the A&N Police, Kadamtala. The Mela continued till 18th April for the general public. The Puja Committee thanked all the devotees, the departments, the organizers, and all the volunteers for their help in order to successfully organize this mega event at Kadamtala village.
