Port Blair, Apr 02: Miss. V.K. Mariyam Bibi, Chairperson, Education & Social Justice Committee, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman on behalf of Zilla Parishad Members, PRIs Members and general public expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Director of Transport, A&N Administration for appointing Smti. Meena W/o Late Arun Salak Kumar as DRM, whose husband, a DRM (Driver) in the department for about twelve years had expired on 13.03.2018 due to cardiac arrest while performing Govt. duty. The Director Transport and other officials of department reached the spot and assured the relatives & PRI Members to provide his wife a job and compensation. The prompt action taken by the department is appreciated by all.
