Port Blair, Jan 31: On 30/01/2018 at about 0300 hrs, a complaint regarding theft from the Donation Box of Kali Temple, Subashgram, Diglipur was reported at PS Diglipur.
Soon after receipt of information a case under appropriate section of law has been registered at PS Diglipur and the investigating officer HC G. Uday Bhanu alongwith police party consisting of PC Bijoy Das, IRBn CTs Neelkant Rao, Remis Xess and HG Pradeep Singh under the guidance of Inspr. Mahesh Yadav, SHO PS Diglipur and under the supervision of Mr. Sukant S. Ballab, SDPO Diglipur started investigation and succeeded in arresting the accused namely Surojit Mondal S/o Sukumar Mondal (19) yrs. R/o Subashgram, Diglipur and recovered the stolen property from his possession within 06 hours of the incident.
