Diglipur, Jan 25: An Assistant Sub Inspector of Police Radio, who was posted at Kadamtala, is said to be absconding after a case of rape was filed against him at Diglipur Police Station.
As per allegation, the accused was in a relationship with a girl of a remote village of Radhanagar Gram Panchayat at Diglipur and had reportedly promised to marry her.
Later with the consent of the both the families, the marriage date was fixed for 24th Jan 2018 but later the girls’ family realized that the groom’s family is not taking any interest in marriage programme till 22 January 2018. Upset with such attitude, the family filed an FIR at PS Diglipur leveling rape charges on the ASI.
Now whole family of the boy is said to be underground after the FIR. The girl was brought to Mayabunder court to for statement recording today. Police is investigating the matter further.
