Diglipur, Jan 12: Vivekananda Kendra Zilla Parishad Vidyalaya, Diglipur today celebrated Swami Vivekananda’s 154th birth anniversary. The function showcased various facets of Indian culture, including dance, music speeches on Vivekananda life and message organized on this occasion. The formal programme started with ceremonial lighting of lamp and offering floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda by Adhyaksh Zilla Parishan N & M Andaman Mrs Kalpana Bain and other distinguished guests. The Principal of the VKZPV Diglipur Mr Kamal Chandra Das welcomed the guests on this occasion has lauded the sincere efforts of the Management and teachers of the school through whose efforts the students are showing brilliant results and also highlighted about the Swamy Vivekananda. A programme filled with outstanding performances depicting incidents from Vivekananda’s life enlightened the elated audience. The enthralling performances by the children through songs, skits and recitation helped everyone to know about Swamiji’s power of concentration, focus, his curious nature and his determination. It was a splendid display of students’ talent in the field of the creative performances of dancing, singing and acting. ZP members Mr Manoj Paul, Mr Boby , CMO Mr Jay Biswas, Commander Coast Guard DHQ 09 Mr Samir Chandra Patnaik were the distinguished guests on this occasion. They Presented prizes to the students. Large number of students and parents witnessed this programme, which was intended to instill positive attitude, discipline and develop the creative and innovative potential of young minds. On Vivekananda Jayanti a 3 days Mela was also Organised today at Naya Dera, Durgapur village, which was inaugurated by Mr A.C. Chiradavananda Avadhut, the Principal Anandamarga School at Diglipur.
