Port Blair, Dec 14: A police team of Traffic Unit, Port Blair conducted traffic awareness programme at Mithakhari & Chouldhari Panchayat Hall.
On 11/12/2017 a police team from Traffic Unit, Port Blair conducted an awareness programme at Mithakhari & Chouldhari Panchayat Hall at 1000 hrs & 1700 hrs which was attended by the public, PRI Members as well as the Auto & Jeep drivers of respective Panchayats and adjoining villages. During the awareness programme, the gathering were appraised about traffic rules & traffic signs and they were requested not to drive the vehicle after drinking and also sensitized about the consequences of drunken driving. Other various issues related to traffic/road safety were also discussed during the awareness programme by one and all.
The General Public is requested to follow the traffic rules for their & others safety and to help the police to maintain law & order in the Island.
