Port Blair, Dec 12: An all parties meeting was held on 12th December 2017 at 11.00 hours at Diviyum Manor under the Chairmanship of Mr. Vishal Jolly, State President BJP, A&N Islands.
Mr. L. Moorthy, State Core Committee Members BJP welcomed all present in the meeting followed by the Chairman’s explanation in detail about today’s agenda regarding reconstitution of the Pradesh Council of A&N Islands.
He also suggested to underline the opinion of the functionaries of political parties present in the meeting. After deliberations and discussion of today’s agenda several points of resolution have been adopted by the meeting such as Reconstitution of Pradesh Council A&N Islands; A Joint Action Council to be constituted to address the agenda of reconstitution of Pradesh Council and the action council shall study and review the enactment of parliament to constitute the Pradesh Council and shall submit the proposal for savings and repeal if required in the provisions of the enactment as far as the executive powers of the Pradesh Council according to the genuine requirement of the island and islander as the case may be.
The Joint Action Council has been elected with the following members – Mr. K. Ganeshnan (INC), Mr. Sanjay Meshak (AAP), Mr. K. P. Aboobacker (TMC), Mr. N. Manik Rao (TDP), Mr. K. Venkat (Jan Kranti), Mr. A. K. Maruthavanan (DMK), Mr. E. Erulandi (AIDMK), Mr. Harish Anselm (BSP), Mr. Vishal Jolly (BJP), Mr. L. Moorthy (BJP). The meeting concluded at 1.00 pm by the proposal of vote of thanks to all present in the meeting by the Chairman.
