Port Blair, Nov 23: Recently Islands Tang Soo Do Sports Association Andaman & Nicobar team attended the 5th Tang Soo Do (Korean Karate) National Championship which was held at Punjab, Jalandar City from 17th Nov. 2017 to 19th Nov. 2017 in which our Islands Tang Soo Do Team consisting of eight members made a record break achievement by winning 13 Medals, All India 3rd Position Championship Trophy in the colour belt category, four Tang Soo Do players won best player trophy, and also won Tang Soo Do Spirit Award. The details of medal tally is, in the Event 1 – Medals won in the colour belt sparring Sailesh Baa & Sahil Soreng won Silver medal, T. Naveen Kumar , M. Christofer & S.Chanduwon Bronze.
In Event 2 of Individual Poomse (Forms) in the colour belt category M. Christofer won Gold, Sahil Soreng won silver and Sailesh Baa won Bronze.
In Event 3 of Team Poomse (Forms) in the colour belt category S.Chandu, Praveen Prakash and T.Naveen Kumar won Silver medal.
In Event 4 of Black belt Sparring (Weight category) T.Suresh Kumar – 60 Kgs. Won Silver medal and S. Daniel Johnson – 75 kgs.won Silver medal. In Event 5 Best Player Award was given to M. Christofer, Sahil Soreng, T.Suresh Kumar, S.Daneil Johnson. All India Third Position Trophy in Colour Belt Category.
